Why do you need -4 chainmails when you could not lose any speed by getting chain leggings with no speed malus
A view into the flash token of the game revealed, that only white numbers from shields and from breastplates are affected by the boost.
Actually the multyplicator for innate item charisma is far lower. Research needed!
I am of the opinion, that detailed individual gear-pages are usefull only in some cases, i removed the links from the list of gear: Yay, no more wanted pages.
As for the images: I think the nicest option would be to append individual gear-images to the corresponding landing page (see: shield) where they can be browsed via a gallery-module. when you want the image linked to another page do as in blade shield.
cheers!
As for the specific stat points:
In some cases it depends on flavour. But most glad-descriptions already contain specific stat-distributions.
As for armor-values:
As already hinted in armor the actual armor value is less important than the additional stat points. Consider the difference in a legpiece: 260 vs 360 gives you additional 200 armor points, whereas 20 vit points on a leg piece also gives you extra 190 HP on a leg at lvl 70.
Wow that's nice: You can actually add any useful information to the pages by clicking the "edit" option.
If you have background information to the coliseum in rome add it here: rome
For individual gladiator types i would suggest, that you add it in the corresponding skill section like murmillo or tharex.
For any other historical facts concerning the roman empire i would suggest, that you just stick to the points mentioned in the game. Otherwise the content of this wiki could overflow to areas, that are not of immediate interest to the gamers.
Images are very welcome too! here's howto:
Go to wanted pages pick the gear you have an image too by clicking on the grey (dead) link.
click create page. If you just want to append an image, put in toc or just "…" Save the page and click on the "files"-option. Here you can append the image (preferrably .png but .jpg is also ok).
When you want to display the appended image on the page just insert the following code:
image name-of-the-file.png or image name-of-the-file.jpg
great you joined. cheers!
Could I add some stuff on the history behind the actual events in ancient rome, the types of gladiators, etc.? Also, could you be more specific in how to make the glads, like how many points to spend exactly, and how much we should depend on the armor points in building? Thanks!
I think that this critter-build should focus more on how to get more shield bash crits, as the strength is not especially high the doubled strength of shield bash-skill should be taken into consideration.
Considering that at 160 dex throw crits about 90% of the time… why the dex when he throws?
As for killing deftards, Dual wielders would be my choice.
Welcome to the Sands of the Coliseum community. Please share your thoughts, requests, shouts 'n' other stuff here. Cheers!

Ik, formula suggests otherwise but that are the tested ones for middle row front (turns without double overtake)
found a way to introsuce the subject but your views are welcome on this one
if u've discovered, that u spent some work on a page, that has the wrong pagename, you can just rename it: +options -> rename -> for example "berserk" becomes "skill:berserk".
cheers
I've added 2 more useful pages in the sidebar:
- all pages: to control if there are pages with wrong names or simply to see, what has been done
- wanted pages: pages linked from somewhere.
- some links direct to pages, that have a wrong name for instance [def] should be [defense]
Hi guys/gals,
i am amazed how uncomplicated that started. I've managed some wikis in my past but determination to contribute seems to be a great motor.
I hope I didn't scare you with setting up "rules" for content so quickly and undiscussed. I just have done this a few times and know, what works (can work).
As all the content is saved on the wiki and previos versions of the content can be rolled back with one (or 2) clicks i'd like to persue a policy of editing directly into the content instead of posting recommendations for improvement in the discussion section (like that post here), which is normally done in wikis with many more contributors.
I hope this is ok for you. There is also a field below the edit-window where u can specify the change and a checkbox for minor edit (like typos). I will try to comment there, what i did when i change i do factual changes.
Going to work now on the navigation:
Top will be a content menu.
Side will become an edit-help.
Also i will create landing pages for the categories with list modules of the pages within the categories so no major interlinking of pages wil be necessary.
Cheers, ookeek
